Five County Association of Governments invites all landlords in Iron County to attend a special landlord outreach lunch. It will be an opportunity to learn about community resources for clients and to provide feedback on how homelessness impacts landlords. Lunch will be provided by Sonny Boy’s!

Changes to the Court Ordered Community Service program:
Please note that on and effective April 4, 2016, Five County Community Action’s Court Ordered Community Service program will be changing its Walk-in hours and administrative fees.
Walk-in Hours will be: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Administrative fees of one dollar per hour up to fifty hours of service will be assessed at signup.

Five County VITA volunteers filed 3,327 tax returns, 8% above our estimated goal
- Surpassing goal led to an increase $49,800.00tax preparation savings for working families
- Does not include on-going back taxes
- Highest per-capita filing in the entire state
- 8% of Utah VITA returns, yet only 7.4% of Utah population
Dixie State University filed more returns than any other site in the state of Utah (1,830)
New volunteer participation increase by 19% this season, with all but 6 out of 144 volunteer tax prepares certifying to advanced level
New site opened up at State Bank of Southern Utah in Cedar City
Five County utilized more marketing outlets for advertising – including radio, websites, and newspapers
- Spectrum in St. George wrote two articles on VITA sites offering free tax assistance at Dixie State and Southern Utah Universities
