Hurricane Valley Food Pantry

Hurricane Valley Pantry.jpg

The Hurricane Valley Food Pantry (previously belonging to Dixie Care and Share) supports families facing food insecurity in the Hurricane Valley and the eastern-portion of Washington County. The phone number, location, staff, and hours of operation remain the same as before.

This pantry is a joint effort of Five County Community Action, the City of Hurricane, the Utah Food Bank, and the Hurricane Valley Community.

The purpose of emergency food boxes is to prevent food insecurity for low – moderate income households*. Case management and information about other community resources is also available (especially referrals to Utah Department of Workforce Services for employment, job training, and access to other resources which promote stability and help families work towards self-sufficiency.). No household will be turned away for emergency food

* A household includes any individual or group of individuals who are living together as one economic unit. The income of each individual in the household who is 18 years old or older must be included in determining income eligibility. In determining whether an individual is part of a household, the eligible entity may consider factors such as whether the individual pays for his/her own food and occupancy.
